Led by three partners with diverse backgrounds in strategy, finance, and business development, working closely with management teams. We provide both strategic and operational guidance to our portfolio companies, fostering a shared vision for long-term sustainable success.
Alain Bolssens has an extensive background in entrepreneurship and guiding growth companies. He started his career in 1992 at Arthur Andersen and co-founded the advisory firm VMB (Audit, Accountancy, Tax & Financial Consulting, including M&A) with several colleagues in 2000 as a business auditor. Within VMB, Alain established the Transaction Services team, regularly providing services to various PE funds. He combines strategic insight with a pragmatic, hands-on approach and is actively involved in the further development of portfolio companies. VMB became part of Moore Belgium in 2020 as part of a buy & build strategy supported by Waterland. Alain was closely involved in approximately ten ‘add-on’ acquisitions by Moore in 2021. In 2022, he co-founded PE Capital Group (Arteva Capital).
Johan Buyle brings extensive experience in strategy, governance, and investments. After his studies, he advised entrepreneurs as a banker at Generale Bank and Fortis Bank on traditional financing solutions, and from the late ’90s onward, mainly with a focus on acquisitions. In 2005, Johan switched to the investor side of Private Equity, holding senior positions at AlpInvest Partners, Fortis Private Equity, and Buysse & Partners. In these roles, he has not only realised numerous investments but also several successful exits.
At Arteva Capital, he focuses on strategic guidance, board work, and supporting management teams with complex growth challenges. This value creation will form the foundation for Arteva Capital’s future exits.
Benoit Vervaeke has an extensive background in finance. After completing his studies, he started his career as an auditor at EY, before moving into corporate finance, where he further developed his expertise at EY and VMB (now Moore). Subsequently, he transitioned to the investment side, gaining several years of experience at Koramic Holding and PE Capital Group (Arteva Capital).
Arteva Capital’s General Partners act in the interest of their portfolio companies and stakeholders and strive for transparent, sustainable, long-term collaborations. Arteva Capital takes sustainability into account through careful selection and follow-up of investments, without this being our primary investment objective.
